Hello,

sorry for the late response but last week I was in Prague on the Rammstein concert.

Here my next turn.

S112 - 114 -> 1
N126 - A24 -> 4
B501 - 504 -> 1
Cs133 - 504 -> 1 (Edited by Klaus: not a chariot, the camel is moving, therefore Ds133 - 504, ok Andreas?)
Bcs 504 - 521 -> 3
B513 - 511 -> 2
G530 - 910 -> 8
---------------------
Total 20

Best regards

Andreas

Dear Everyone,

Glad you are enjoying the hot summer :)

Here is West turn 9:

B607 - 633 = 5
B601 - 632 = 6
B605 - 614 = 6
230R = 2
Ds-H26 - H25 = 1

Total = 20

Kind Regards
Andre

Hi Everyone,
Here is my best idea - not sure it is the best, but let’s see what happens:

George (North) Turn 9

Gk726 - 626. 1
Bes727 - 724. 2
S326 - 325. 1
Cs325 - 329. 3
S329 - 724. 2 (Edited by Klaus: this soldier moved before so he could only move one space further!)
C329 - 328. 1
Bess724 - 726 2
DsY31 - Y16. 8
Total 20

Thanks and please keep cool and safe.
All the best,
George

Hi George,

if someone made an irregular move in such a case I would suggest to proceed this way:
one has to change the irregular move and could redo (change) the following moves, too.
Agreed, George, Andreas and Andre?

Kind regards

Klaus

Hi Klaus,
I’m trying, but seems a perfect move is still somewhere in the future. :oops:
This is almost the same, but hopefully correct.

Gk726 - 626. 1
Bes727 - 724. 2
S326 - 325. 1
Cs325 - 364. 4
S364 - 724. 1
C364 - 329. 1
Bess724 - 726 2
DsY31 - Y16. 8
Total 20

If everyone agrees, I am good with this.
Thanks so much for your diligence and kind guidance Klaus!
All the best,
George

Dear George,

I am sorry but S364 - 724. 1 is still an illegal move as the soldier is mounted on the Cs325 - 364 and going on Bes724.
A soldier cannot directly dismount and mount on a new piece in a single move. You need to dismount in 1 move then mount on the next move.

Kind Regards
Andre

Dear Andre, George and Andreas,

indeed a direct transfer of a soldier from means of transportation to another isn't allowed in general. With one exception: a mounted soldier on an harbour-space can directly jump (dismount) on an unladen(!) ship or a ship loaded with one soldier only and vice versa (= a dismounted soldier on a ship could directly jump on an elephant (chariot...) at the harbour.
So, yes George, the mistake must be corrected. And don't lose heart, it will be better... ;)

Please, feedback and decision for this procedure in case of an irregular move:
one has to change the irregular move and could redo (change) the following moves after the mistake, too.
George agreed.

Kind regards

Klaus

Hi Everyone,
The sun is shining, the birds are singing (I have Toni Braxton on the stereo) - so all is good.
Hope this will work better. All I can say is, thanks for your patience with this new player.

Let’s try this, but kindly let me know if there is an issue with anything. I will learn and play better.
That is likely the goal of us all.

George N - Turn 9 - try 3

Gk726 - 626. 1
Bes727 - 724. 2
S326 - 325. 1
Cs325 - 329. 3
New moves start here
Cs329 - 328. 1
S328 - 329. 1
DsY31 - Y16. 8
Bes724 - 727. 2
Gk626 - 625. 1
Total 20

Thanks for your help!
All the best,
George

Hi Klaus and everyone,
I do have a question:

If a soldier makes a Chariot (or other piece) with 10 moves, I understand the new piece cannot move in the same turn.
However, can the soldier move off the new piece on the same turn?

Example,
S313 π C. 10
S313 - 314. 1

Thanks,
George

Hi George,

Glad you are enjoying yourself.
For your question, no the soldier cannot move in this turn either after having built a new piece.

Kind Regards
Andre
