Hi,
George wrote:...

Maybe a mixture of defense with attack simultaneously could be successful. For now I'm thinking about sending some delegates towards the central island. But will it be decisive of the win: the occupation of the Quest spaces. I'm not sure. When Andre and me held our match on the 4-player board, I built a strong formation on the central island at the beginning. But Andre neutralised my formation. And the central island wasn't decisive in this match. I think Andre and maybe Andreas, too, could speak from experience about this topic...

Here is the East's turn 5:

Gk930 - 934 => 1P
K934 - 352 => 1P
K352 Δ S353 => 1P
K352 - G934 => 1P
Bess931 - 819 => 2P
Gk934 - 930 => 1P
B800 - 811 => 1P
B821 - 800 => 1P
S433 π C => 10P
S432 - E431 => 1P

Total 20P

Kind regards

Hello Gentlemen,

I think actual is too early for the central island because we all have many units to conquer it together. But defense is not a option because you will losing the game in the defense. So it is only one way - the way forward :)

Here is turn 6 of south

Bess954 - 912 -> 5
Ess912 - 152 -> 1
S152 - 151 -> 1
Gk 952 - 913 -> 6
S119 - 149 -> 1
Cs117 - 119 -> 1
N116 - 117 -> 1
G511 - 507 -> 1
B512 - 500 -> 2
G507 - 511 -> 1

Hello Gentlemen,

Andre didn't notice Andreas' last moves. There is an option of the forum so one will normally gets a notification when a reply is posted after having activated this option. But probably not after each reply. Maybe it's better to send the next player an email notification after the posting of moves (player to the next player).

Andre requested a decision regarding the interpretation of the recapture rule you find in the rules book, before he will post his next moves.

Andre's position: If the active player (= who has the turn) captures a piece at the end of his turn (action point 20) and the other player who is affected by this capture makes a recapture then the active player could claim the recapture rule, too (= recapture after recapture without counting the moves). According to this interpretation "endless" consecutive recaptures could happen at the end of a turn (recapture after recapture after recapture ...).

Andre's justification: "To me it makes no sense to not allow recapture because his (my addition: active player's) turn is finished by
then so he is like the other players."

Klaus' position: If the active player (= who has the turn) captures a piece no matter whether at the end of his turn or earlier, then only the other players could do a recapture if one of the other players is affected by the capture. Afterwards the active player continues his moves normally but he can't claim the recapture rule whether at the end of his turn nor earlier. If the active player captures a piece at the end of his turn then the other player who is affected by the capture can do a recapture if he isn't next in line. And the turn of the active player is immediately finished. If the other player who is affected by the capture is next in line this player starts his moves normally without the possibility of claiming the recapture rule.

Klaus' justification: According to the sense of the rules book the "recapture rule" is reserved for the defender who hasn't the turn. (partnership match: the team players who defend).

Let's decide and go on.

Kind regards

Klaus

Hello Gentleman,

I confirm Klaus position because this are the rules :) A recapture of a recapture is in no situation allowed. The second one is that a recapture of an attack of the active player is only not allowed if i am the next player.

Hi, I agree with Klaus’s interpretation. There is only one recapture, and if the next player in line - no recapture as their turn starts.
