Spirit Island has very many interesting features beneath high strategy and tactics. It has virtually no luck except the draw of the cards which is small as it mostly changes the order they come in, it has multiple included variants and difficulty levels with scenarios and adversaries, endless replayability with different spirits which play completely different of each other and most of all, it is a Coop game, so if you are alone, you can play 1-2-3 or 4 spirits alone! My preference is for playing 3 or sometimes 4 different spirits!

I hope you get the chance to try it :D

There will also be a digital version in work now:

Hi,

my plan was that Andre go with his boat included with elephant and soldiers to 918 and don't recapture my boat. Then in my next turn my boat with elephant make trouble and prepare Andre's turn . My second boat and my soldiers will be placed on the board that Andre can hit them to have more movements on his turn.

King regards

Andreas

Hi Everyone,
Here is George - Turn 14 (N)

N314 - 316. 6 (Edited by Klaus: not possible, the knight can't jump over my siege engine.)
NY29 - 318. 6 (ditto)
N326 - Y24. 4
Total - 16

I tried to look at every way to work a siege engine to Andre’s castle, but always came up short to defend with his B634/E/S in play. I needed one more space and only had 16. Hard to build anything with limited moves. There are many things that I now understand should have been played differently, especially losing my last elephant! In my silly view the only hope was for Klaus to be attacked and leave me open for one more active turn.

All the best,
George

Hi All,
I have not played many other games (mine craft or others), and have only played Conquest when much younger. I was glad when I found this forum (Thanks Klaus!) as I really liked the game before and now just introduced to Grand Conquest. Thanks so much for your kind patience with my many movement mistakes. Perhaps I should have been more defensive, but with limited pieces and Klaus building up for an attack - I felt I had to attack somewhere to maybe get some advantage. I felt the long game would not be a successful strategy.

Let’s see what Klaus’s final moves are and for sure I had a fun time playing. Thanks so much for inviting me!
All the best,
George

Hi George,

it's a great thing that we all are sharing the enthusiasm for an interesting game! No matter whether we are making some mistakes or not. So I look forward to the next match with two teams... If Andreas and Andre agree you can choose your team partner.
Previously we want to attain our first goal. And you made a mistake in your last turn. Your knights can jump over own pieces only.

Andre, thanx for the hints and description. It seems to be a very unusual game.

Kind regards

Klaus

Hi Everyone,
How stupid - I know that N can’t jump over others!

OK - lets try again, George (N) - turn 14

NY29 x D350 - Recpature Klaus?

Hi All,
Continue - George N Turn 14

NY29 x D350. 3
Recapture refused
N357 - 313 2 (Edited by Klaus: N is standing on space 314.)
C327 - 329. 1
S328 - 329. 1
Cs329 - 312. 5
N350 - 314. 4

Total - 16

This should be at least interesting (even with Klaus’s overwhelming firepower).
Let’s see where it goes.
Thanks,
George

Hi George,

there is one mistake. Your knight is standing on space 314 (not 357).

Kind regards

Klaus

Thanks Klaus,
How embarrassing
Someday - someway I will get better at keeping track of things.
Obviously, the path I am taking for recording moves is not the best one.

NY29 x D350. 3
Recapture refused
N314 - 313 1
C327 - 329. 1
S328 - 329. 1
Cs329 - 312. 5
N350 - 314. 4
S312 - 311. 1

Total - 16

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding.
I will improve - I promise!
Thanks again,
George
