Hello,
I wish a nice weekend, too!
Andreas told me that his map differ from other maps with regard to the shooting slits. On his map there are many more shooting slits on land spaces with a view to sea spaces. Otherwise shooting slits on the central island are missing on his map. He is using a map made by the designer Dennis Michel. In my opinion this map was sold in Germany only and not by Numbskullgames.
Indeed there is a problem with the maps, with every(!) map because the number of marked shooting slits are incomplete. Therefore you don't really know where catapult shots are possible and where not. Especially the shooting slits towards path spaces are missing almost everywhere.
Andre noticed it, too. We talked about it during our first match on the 2-player-board. (See: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=86). I completed the shooting slits towards path spaces on the 2-player map with due regard to the rules and environments of the paths and uploaded this map so it might be clearer where catapult shots are possible on the 2-player-board. In regard to land spaces with a view to sea spaces I didn't change anything.
We are using the 4-player-board now. For the moment we should orientate ourselves by the numbered map we are using. We could check there where a catapult shot is possible: at the point where a shooting slit is marked.
Kind regards
Klaus
