when I was reading your last response I thought: Now it's me who is getting into big trouble...
But then I looked at the map and noticed that your boat on space 735 needs 7 points to reach my boat on 823. That's impossible.
Otherwise it would be horrible if your board differed from the "standard" board in this regard, too. In this case we would have to compare every space and every line.
I upload an image of the current position so you can see my map. (click on the map to enlarge the image.)
Edit: I've checked the English Puzzle Book. Indeed, the American vinyl board differs from the "standard" board in this regard, too... On the vinyl board there is a direct line between space 735 and 715.

hello klaus. yes, i definitely have the line from 735 direct to 715, which is 6 moves from 735 to 823. it is different from the map you have. i think the gods have decided to look after me! i have also noticed that you are taunting me by displaying all my pieces you have captured, you are indeed the master of psychological warfare

it does alter the game a lot, how do you want to sort this out? i can restart my turn, perhaps ignore the line 735-715 and do alternative moves? clearly if we carry on then you could recapture my boat with your Gk, and i potentially could take your Gk with my Gn. this scenario wouldnt happen on your map.
